Ingredients
Pudding:
4 large eggs
1 cup - light brown sugar
1 tsp - unsalted butter
1/2 tsp - cinnamon
Dash - nutmeg
1 tsp - vanilla extract
2 cup - half-and-half
8 - slices of bread, cut into cubes
1/2 cup - raisins
Bourbon sauce:
3 tbsp - bourbon
1 cup - heavy whipping cream
1 cup - half-and-half
2 tsp - vanilla extract
6 tbsp - sugar
1 tbsp - cornstarch
Note: Taste as you go and feel free to add, lessen, or substitute ingredients according to your preference.
Directions
Step 1
In medium bowl, add eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, vanilla extract, and half-and-half. Mix together until well combined (use whisk, fork, or electric mixer).
Step 2
Add cubed bread and raisins to mixture and mix contents well. Then let sit for 2 hours.
Step 3
After the 2 hours, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 4
Pour pudding mixture, into pan and put in oven for 55 minutes.
Step 5
In medium saucepan, add bourbon, heavy whipping cream, half-and-half, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir until sauce becomes slightly thickened. Then, allow the sauce to cool for a few minutes.
Step 6
To serve, cut or scoop pudding and pour bourbon sauce on top.
